802.1x eap
EAP was defined by IEE Specification 802.11x and stands for Extensible Authentication Protocol. It provides a transport for transmitting EAP messages in both wired and wireless networks. As an extensible protocol, there can be different versions of the protocol. It’s important for embedded devices to support the EAP protocols used in most user environments.
