PSoC Creator enables complete system design, with a single design tool. Shown on this slide is a Bluetooth Low Energy heart rate monitor which implements a custom AFE, shown in PSoC Creator. The designer can begin by exploring the library of over 75 components, then drag and drop these components into a schematic to complete a hardware system design. In the case shown on this slide, a combination of analog components is used to design an AFE and the BLE component is utilized to provide wireless communication. The user would then configure each of these components using the component configuration tools. Each of the components also have their own data sheets to provide the designer more information and list the APIs, which can be co-designed into the application firmware and hardware in the IDE concurrently. Cypress also provides documentation like App Notes; the “Getting Started with PSoC BLE App Note” helps users get started with the solution and provides system guidelines for the design.
