The UC3-L0 Xplained development board is a typical Xplained board with two board controllers. The target microcontroller on the board is the UC3L064. All deployed sensor applications will run on the main microcontroller. The second board controller is used to control the USB port as this is very useful for the development process. In addition to the USB port there is a programming port for JTAGICE programming tools, a header to directly measure current consumption and four ports for use with the sensor top boards. J1 and J4 are digital ports, J2 is an analog port with eight channels and J3 is a general purpose I/O port. These four ports are common to all of the boards making all sensor top boards compatible with all of the microcontroller boards.
