The output from the sensors is automatically scaled. The chosen units are the common SI units. This function can be turned off and the application will receive raw data instead. The sensors output two types of data: vector based sensor data, for example the accelerometer and the gyroscope output direction data as well as magnitude; and scalar sensor data, for example temperature and pressure is presented as one single scalar value. In addition, the software drivers provide a timestamp, in µS, associated with every data reading. The latency of the reading is also available as this is important for some applications.
