Microchip has put together a developer environment consisting of three components: a series of microcontroller processor boards based on the Xplained platform, the Xplained platform now covers both the UC3 family, the XMEGA family and some megaAVRs; plug-in top boards with different clusters of sensors; software and drivers that allow users to grab data from the sensor, turn it into useful information and write an application that make use of this information.
