WiLink 8 can support a two antenna solution if needed. With MIMO, multiple input/multiple output, two antennas can be used to transmit and receive two different streams, resulting in improved throughput. It supports 5 GHz diversity, so when using two antennas for 5 GHz the device will select the antenna based on which has better Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI). For maximal ratio combining (MRC), if transmitting on only one antenna, WiLink 8 can receive on two antennas, and it will choose the one with the best signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) which allows for better range.
