This chart shows how multi-role is supported, meaning WiLink can run two roles at the same time. It supports station and AP, station and point to point, etc. This slide shows some examples of how multi-role features can be used in a product. In the top right illustration, it is being used like a hard drive by connecting to devices on local network, as an Access Point and to the Router as a station for internet access. On the bottom left, it shows how a thermostat can be run in AP mode, and provisioned, passing the information to the thermostat, and then connected to the AP. Lastly on the bottom right, it shows how the user can connect whatever they want to stream, turn on AP mode, and then transmit their data to the speakers to be played.
