Shown here is a highlight for the RM48 MCU specifically. As stated previously, this is the highest performance ARM-based microcontroller that Texas Instruments has based on the ARM Cortex-R4 floating point CPU. It has clock speeds of up to 220 MHz providing over 350 DMIPS of performance intended for safety-critical, industrial and medical applications. This series has Flash memory going up to 3 MB and CAN, Ethernet, USB host and device. This product is best suited for high performance real time control applications that also need protection against random and systematic faults inside the MCU.
