In contrast to DC, RF uses voltages, currents, and wattages that are always changing in any given instant in time. These changes are usually occurring very rapidly in a periodic way or as a wave motion. This wave motion is similar to the wave motion seen when a pebble is dropped into still water. One complete cycle or wave is considered 1 Hz, or a sine wave.
