RF Reed Relays Presentation Part 1 Slide 34

Slew rate is very closely related to rise time. It essentially the delay between an input and an output. For example, consider a reed relay with closed contact with a perfect square wave incident upon the contacts. As the pulse enters the relay there will be a slight increase in rise time before it exits. This change in rise time between the input and the output is measured and considered the slew rate.
