A few examples will be presented to further explain these definitions. The two pulses shown on the top of this slide depict an ideal world where the input pulse is exactly the same as it exits a component. The second group of pulses shows an ideal pulse entering a set of closed contacts and a rise time change as the pulse exits. This is an example of slew rate through a set of relay contacts.
