The current phase of Industry 4.0 is affected by cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things and Cloud computing. The Internet of Things (IoT) is the inter-networking of physical "smart devices", buildings, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators and network connectivity that enable these objects to collect and exchange data. An interconnected industry communication system allows cyber-physical systems to make intelligent decisions and to cooperate and communicate with other systems and humans in real time. The need to reduce storage, bandwidth and component costs drives innovation of electronic sensors, which are integrated in electronic systems with higher functionality and less interferences.
