The contact is the part of the switch that completes an electric circuit when the actuator is pressed. Typically, there is one moving contact and one stationary contact. The circuit is completed when the contacts touch. The case is the plastic molded outer body that protects the switch contents from the elements and holds the components of the switch together. The terminals are offered in different shapes depending on end user needs. Typical terminal types are PC mount, solder terminals, spade terminals and screw terminals.
