The ULPWU module, available on some Deep Sleep devices, allows a device to go into Deep Sleep for a certain period of time and wake up, without using an oscillator. Because ULPWU is clockless, it consumes less power than wake-up sources that need an oscillator. Instead, it uses a slowly discharging capacitor voltage to trip a wake-up after a period of time has passed.
