The LTC4366 is designed for systems that continuously operate at voltages above 100V or need protection from extremely high voltage transients. The LTC4366 employs a unique floating topology; external voltage dropping resistors allow it to float up with the supply, isolating it from the high voltage surge. The upper limit on the operating voltage is limited by the MOSFET voltage rating. Like the LT4363 and LTC4364, the LTC4366 regulates the output voltage during an input voltage surge. The waveform shown on this slide shows a 200V output voltage regulation when the input surges up to 800V.
