Shown here are all the eMMC features supported by the ISSI. A few features out of the long list of feature set may be highlighted. ISSI eMMC device provides error free memory access. It has Internal ECC to protect data communication, has enhanced data management algorithms and provides solid protection from sudden power failure, and safe-update operations for data content. The eMMC controller support secure bad block erase and secure trim and enhanced write Protection with permanent and partial protection options – thus providing secured data and high data reliability. It also performs auto read refresh in the background. ISSI eMMC supports Enhanced Mode also known as Pseudo-SLC mode. It supports Enhanced User Data partition – up to 100% capacity can be portioned into pseudo-SLC mode, thereby allowing additional reliability and performance. Page based firmware reduces latency in system operation and enhances endurance. Field Firmware update is supported. Firmware provided is fully customizable – which means if a customer has a request for any custom commands or feature support in firmware; that can be easily supported.
