Product List
Thermal greases are known as the “traditional” TIM material. They are typically a silicone filled with thermally conductive filler. Greases have been around for decades as a commoditized product for the PC industry. As a non-adhesive solution, thermal greases require a mechanical fixture. This is usually in the form of a spring clamp or screws. The higher the pressure or torque applied, the better the thermal grease wets the surfaces and dissipates heat. One drawback of thermal greases is that they are messy to work with and clean. They can also pump-out of interfaces if cycled too frequently, resulting in thermal failure. One example of a thermal grease is Loctite TG100, which is a silicone thermal grease with very high thermal conductivity of 3.4 W/m*K. This product is supplied in both 6oz cartridges and bulk packaging.
