As mentioned previously, there is a new optimized D3xx driver available to support the chipset. Developers familiar with previous generation FTDI devices may find the commands very similar to the original D2xx API, e.g. FT_Open is replaced with FT_Create, while FT_Close remains the same. FT_ReadPipe and FT_WritePipe are analogous to FT_Read and FT_Write; the only difference being the addition of an Endpoint parameter to address the correct data channel.
