PowerStor Supercapacitors Slide 19

Leakage current is closely related to capacitor size. The above table refers to the leakage current per Farad of the PowerStor B series. For the lower capacitance A series the leakage current per Farad will be higher, but A and B series parts of the same size will have similar values of leakage current. It should be noted that the long time it takes for the inflow current to drop to leakage current levels is generally a one off event. The areas of the capacitor that take longest to fully charge are also the slowest to discharge, so following a partial discharge the inflow current will drop to the leakage current levels much more rapidly.
