Continuing the comparison of the MLP’s cold temperature performance to a same-rating snap-in capacitor, the red curves are ESR and the purple curves are capacitance. At 1000Hz and –40°C the snap-in’s ESR has increased 49.3 times while the MLP’s ESR has increased only 7.4 times. The snap-in’s capacitance is down to only 40% while the MLP’s is at 82% of the room temperature value.
