Product List
A PLD is a programmable logic device. This includes both complex PLDs, or CPLDs, as well as field-programmable gate arrays, or FPGAs. CPLDs have traditionally been used for simple glue logic and I/O expansion, but have evolved to perform greater functions. As for FPGA's, they can be seen being used as co-processors to offload MCUs and DSPs in communications, motor control, I/O modules, and image processing applications, to name a few. FPGAs are ideal system-on-chip solutions for many industrial applications because of their: ability to adapt to design requirements; ability to integrate additional system functions; and long life cycles that align well with the long life cycles of industrial equipment. The system can include comprehensive intellectual property (IP) elements such as embedded soft processors, memory interfacing, DSP capabilities, and more.
