Welcome to the Allegro MicroSystems Hall-Effect Current Sensor product training module. With increasing concerns about the global demand for energy and environmental awareness, renewable energy and electric vehicle applications are under pressure to improve efficiency, necessitating accurate and low power consumption current sensing solutions. These sensors combine basic current measurement in a line of fully-integrated Hall-effect current sensor ICs that provide highly accurate analog output voltage signals proportional to the applied current. The sensors can be used in applications that require voltage isolation and operation to 1 MHz of bandwidth. Additional features such as overcurrent digital fault outputs and filtering pins are available on several sensors. Sensing currents from 5 A to 2000 A are made possible with Allegro current sensing solutions.
