Product List
All of the driver, TCP/IP stack and supplicant software are embedded inside of the CC3000 module. This allows the device to be used in embedded MCU applications. The CC3000 has a very high transmission power and low receiver sensitivity. As of December 2012, the CC3000 has the distinction of having the best range in its class. This allows the end product to connect to the access point from anywhere in the ultimate end users’ home. Previous modules also worked with MCUs, however, with the software enhancements the CC3000 can operate with low cost, low MIPS MCUs that have memory footprints as small as 2 kB of Flash and 250 B of RAM. Significant benefits of the CC3000 module are the FCC, IC, and CE certifications held by the CC3000 that can save the customer one to two months in design time, large amounts in design cost, and even more in certifying a discrete design. The DC/DC converter and level shifter allow the CC3000 to interface with a 3.3 V MCU. The dimensions are competitive in size with competitors devices. The 7th generation of TI Wi-Fi has proven performance and is able to connect to all popular access points. With the full platform that TI offers with MSP430 and Stellaris, CC3000 can be implemented easily and quickly by customers.
