The TCP/IP stack built into the CC3000 allows the end user to connect to the Cloud with HTTP. This means devices can be controlled from a smartphone app or website. TI has identified two partners to aid customers with connecting to the Cloud: Exosite and Cosm. Both offer server access to push/send or pull/get sensor data from CC3000-enabled devices, or send control commands like on/off. Exosite has a great user interface, is customizable, and provides advanced support. However, it requires a fee when connecting multiple CC3000-enabled devices. Cosm is open source and free to use. However, there are limited data commands available.
