The LaunchPad includes several 10-pin PCB connectors (two male and two female). This enables easy interfacing with external peripherals and devices. The connectors are not pre-populated onto the board, allowing users to decide between the male, female, or no connectors. Additionally, the LaunchPad board features programmable pushbuttons and LEDs. The pushbuttons can be programmed to enable human input during a running application, while the LEDs may be programmed to provide system feedback. These integrated features make it easy for customers to use the LaunchPad as a stand-alone system. Alternatively, thanks to the LaunchPad’s socketed target board, the MSP430G2xx Value Line device can be removed and dropped into a breadboard or custom PCB for added flexibility.
