The LaunchPad rounds off the MSP430 value line family. The complete LaunchPad kit will make the jump up to 16-bit performance as simple and affordable as possible. LaunchPad will make it easy for the MSP430 Value Line developers to harness up to 10x improved performance and 10x improved lower power versus similarly priced 8-bit MCUs. Additionally, LaunchPad will enable rapid prototyping and quicken developer’s time to market thanks to its integrated flash emulator, DIP target socket supporting, included MSP430 Value Line devices, and on-board LEDs, push buttons, and break out pins.
