The capacitive touch boosterpack is the first plug in board for the MSP430 launchpad. It is a complete capacitive touch reference design featuring capacitive touch buttons, scroll wheel and proximity sensor. It includes both the plug in board and a preprogrammed MSP430G2452 device which has the integrated capacitive touch I/O ports. The device is also pre-programmed with some demo functionality for an easy and simple out of box experience. The board also features 9 on-board LEDs that provide instant feedback as users interact with the capacitive touch elements. It also fully supports a free downloadable Software library that abstracts the raw capacitive touch data into useful and intuitive high-level function calls.
