The ENOB (Effective Number of Bits) gives a simple measure of a converter’s SNR, which can be compared with an ideal value to determine an ADC’s dynamic accuracy. ENOB is derived from the theoretical definition of SNR. The SFDR (Spurious Free Dynamic Range) measures the difference between the signal amplitude and the first and largest harmonic spur. This is also a measure of signal quality, and higher values are more desirable.
