STMicroelectronics was a pioneer in the MEMS revolution which has opened the door to many new applications, from indoor and pedestrian navigation to enhanced GPS, sport/altimeter watches, thermostats, and barometric stations. All of these applications have a common requirement for low power, small footprint, and good resolution. ST sensors are designed with these factors in mind.
