For the user that requires more flexibility or more complex configurable functions, Nexperia introduces dual gate configurable logic devices which allow more flexibility in the combinations of logic functions. Providing two 1G57 functions in a single package is equivalent to releasing forty-nine logic function combinations. If the dual layout options of the non-standard functions are included, the total is eighty-one combination logic products. Just like single configurable logic devices, dual configurable logic devices include integrated Schmitt-trigger inputs as standard. Schmitt-trigger inputs have hysteresis built into the switching threshold. They allow the device to be driven by slowly changing analog signals without risk of false triggering or oscillation. The inclusion of Schmitt-trigger inputs with the configurable logic provides more space and cost savings.
