Configurable, or multi-function logic, is a logic device that can be “configured” to provide one of several different logic functions in a single package. Configurable logic is not the same as programmable: all devices are identical and do not need to be programmed before use. A more descriptive name might be “PCB Configured Logic” because only the wiring of the circuit board changes the configuration, the device itself does not change in any way.
