Particular attention should be given to the following parameters when selecting a switch. Switch configuration is the first step in selecting a switch. Choose the right configuration (SPST, SPDT, DPDT…) for the application. Make sure to use the correct control pin option to toggle switches independently or all together. Supply voltage (VCC) is the biasing voltage required to power up the switch. A lower VCC means there is less head room to pass a signal.
