Murata has three technologies used in the construction of common mode choke coils for signal lines. They consist of film, multilayer, and wirewound types. With the film type, the DLP and NFP series have the unique advantage of being small. Multilayer common mode choke coils that include the DLM and NFG series match many of the cutoff frequency requirements of high-speed interfaces, but with the added advantage of being lower cost. The wirewound type DLW series has the best performance and is also available for automotive applications.
