For Ethernet based MCUs, the PICDEM.net 2 board provides both an integrated PIC18F97J60 MCU as well as the ENC28J60 stand alone Ethernet controller. Or, if the user already owns a PIC18 Explorer Board, they can use one of the Ethernet PICtail daughter boards. The picture on the lower left features Microchip’s ENC28J60 with 10 Mbps performance. The picture on the right features the ENC624J600 100Mbps Ethernet.
