The MAMX-011023 low noise active mixer is designed for down frequency conversion, supporting very low noise figure of 7 dB typical. This mixer boasts 5-25 GHz RF frequency, 4-23 GHz LO frequency, and DC-8 GHz IF frequency. It is the widest frequency bandwidth coverage of any product in this category, providing a versatile and cost-effective platform for a wide range of applications, spanning test and measurement, electronic warfare, point-to-point wireless, and video satellite. The features of this mixer include unconditional stability, a very low LO drive (<0 dBm) and low DC bias (<50 mW). When set to 3 V, the IF pin is able to draw 15 mA when the LO drive is on. Typically the VG pin is set to 0.6 V. The MAMX-011023 can be used for either LSB or USB mixing. This mixer is used for down frequency conversion and can be biased from a single positive power supply. The MAMX-011023 achieves very low noise figure for an active mixer. The MAMX-011023 is fabricated using a GaAs process which features full passivation for increased performance and reliability. The mixer is assembled in a lead-free, halogen-free “green” mold compound, compact 1.5 x 1.2 mm TDFN 6-lead plastic package.
