In the following slides, the tutorial will be illustrating motor drive state examples. The colors of red, blue, and green represent three different coils with a common central node. The direction of current flow of the coils is shown for each of the six states of angular rotor position. For each angular position, the corresponding logic levels for the Hall sensors, HA, HB, and HC, are also color coded. The average applied voltage waveforms to each motor connection, MA, MB and MC, are also shown. A simplified 3-phase schematic also illustrates the state of the bridge FETs and the direction of current flow.
