Braking Modes

When triggered, the 6EDL7141 can apply different braking modes to stop the motor. Braking may be externally commanded via an input pin or automatically triggered by a fault condition, such as overcurrent detection or the watchdog timer. When integrated with Infineon's XMC1400, an internal and an external path for braking will provide a more robust double-braking path. The desired braking mode can be selected and configured from several available options, including high-side braking, low-side braking, alternate braking, or all MOSFETs can simply be switched off.
