on off circuitry AN04-003
There are two types of on/off interfaces, positive logic and negative logic. With positive logic, the on/off pin needs to be turned high to turn the module on. With negative logic, the on/off pin needs to be set low for the module to be on. OmniOn Power DLynx modules are available in both positive and negative logic versions, with negative logic being the most popular and therefore the recommended choice. Either implementation requires one external transistor (referenced as Q1 or Q2 in the illustrations), and one pull-up resistor. The on/off signal should be always referenced to ground. For either on/off logic option, leaving the on/off pin disconnected will turn the module on when input voltage is present. Application note AN04-003 provides more details and examples.
