Product List
Using the input filter data provided in the datasheet, an appropriate level of ripple can be achieved. As with output ripple, the graphs are based on real measurement data. In this case, the desired target is less than 120 mV peak to peak ripple. Following the graph, users can see that this is achievable with one 22 µF capacitor. The recommendation is to use ceramic caps for best ripple reduction and to use a combination of physically small and larger ceramics to attenuate noise and ripple. The smallest capacitors should be placed very close to the input pads of the module. Application notes AN04-002 and AN04-005 give more details and are available on the OmniOn Power website.
