Accuracy, precision and resolution are terms which are frequently confused, misused or interchanged. Accuracy is the exactness of a value to a known standard. Precision, or repeatability is defined as how closely can you return a value back to the same level over and over again to a degree. Resolution is the least discernable or detectable change in a value, often described as a least significant bit in a digital system. Customers can also think of granularity for this term.
