Intel®’s Field Oriented Control (FOC) algorithm leverages the DSP blocks in the Intel® MAX® 10 and applies unique “folding” techniques via Intel® DSP Builder to further reduce FPGA code footprint and make for a compact DoC design. The FOC algorithm is even customizable in the familiar MathWorks Simulink environment. Both software-only and FPGA accelerated implementations are available, with a choice of singe or multi-axis and fixed and floating point.
