The simulation results shown here uses an NTC Thermistor sensor (example: Vishay’s NTCALUG Series’) being used to measure the temperature of a flat surface. A relevant real world application is heat sink temperature monitoring. In the graph herewith, the green curve is the recorded temperature of a heated surface. The red curve is the thermistor sensor temperature reading as it is pressed to the heated surface. The three blue curves represent the simulation of Tin nominal, minimum and maximum tolerances (Worst Case Analysis) obtained after adjustment of parameter values of the Thermal Transfer Function.
