One or several NTC sensors and their associated Thermal Transfer functions can be introduced in any application. For this example a TEMPERATURE RATE of RISE detector has been chosen. The principle of a heat detector compares the signals given by two NTC sensors which have a different time response to a given rise of temperature. As the number of components in the circuit increases, so do the component tolerances (electrical and thermal), so it is best to perform a Monte Carlo Analysis rather than a Worst Case Analysis (N tolerance factors would require 2^N runs!).
