The optional Thermal Transfer function now simulates the transient behavior (delay, response time) and eventual temperature gradient of the subjected NTC Thermistor. An external temperature simulation (variable V1 source) is applied to the sensor. The transfer function, model X2, simulates the heat transfer and computes the effective temperature seen by the component, pin Tin. The model X1 translates this temperature Tin into voltage. The calibration of the parameters of the transfer function can be made by comparison of the Tin voltage and the real measurement V(REF) imported into LT spice (as shown on next slide).
