For DC-DC converters, the PX and PS types are used for input and output filtering to minimize ripple voltage. The 16 to 25V rated parts are mainly used on the input side, while the 2.5 to 6.3V rated parts are used for the output side. For LSI decoupling applications, capacitors that can handle both high power output and have a low ESR are required. Generally, parts with a voltage rating of 2 to 2.5V are used here.
