Texas Instruments wants to make it easy for the customer to design in TI parts, and one of the best ways is for the designers to be able to test the part in their own lab. Therefore TI has tools for engineers that can be purchased and tested. Whether it is the TX or AFE products, TI has evaluation boards available, and for the DSP or processors both the hardware and software are available. TI’s website has system block diagrams available, the example on this slide shows an ultrasound system diagram. The customer can go to the TI.com/medical website or to TI.com and click on the end equipment block that they are looking at. TI will offer suggestions for each of the different parts that are inside the blocks. One last thing to mention is, the 6455 plus OMAP35x combination. This presentation showed what is recommended for the C6455 and the OMAP35x individually, but if the customer is going to be designing these in a system, they will want the optimal solution for that system. The customer can give TI their needs and TI give them a power supply recommendation to meet the requirements. TI will do the schematic, build and test, and show the waveforms. To accomplish this, contact the local salesperson or local analog applications person and they can get the process started.
