Shown in this slide are some of the wireless options available, arranged in three approaches. This table shows the system architectures or system partitioning approaches that customers may want to consider. For instance, there may be a customer who wants a self-contained system on a chip. This customermay want to consider one of the CC devices, one of which is the CC430. Or the customer might want to look at an application MCU with an RF radio, with all of the wireless stacks residing on the microcontroller, such as an MSP430, along with the application. A third approach would be an application microcontroller where the MSP430 has the application, or a protocol processor such as the CC430 with the wireless stacks, along with the integrated transceiver.
