This device offers 3 drives and 5 receivers which matches perfectly with the common DB9 connector specifications, so this is very popular in RS232 applications. With the help of an internal charge pump this device operates either at 3.3V or 5V single supply. This device provides an auto power-down feature which allows the device to consume as low as 1 ua current when there is no connector plugged into the RS232 port. In direct comparison with the competition, we offer 500 Kbps data rate as opposed to 250 Kbps data rate from the competition. We do offer space saving QFN package for this device.
