The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is the international standards and conformity assessment body for all fields of electrotechnology. IEC 61000-4-xx is a set of approximately twenty five ESD testing specifications from the IEC. Of these twenty five, TI regularly conducts the -2 ESD immunity test and have begun to conduct the -5 test for surge immunity. At this time it has not been determined to be necessary to conduct the remainder of the tests routinely, but customer requests to have specific tests conducted will be evaluated for implementation.
