Circuit Isolation Techniques Slide 14

When engaging in an isolation design, it is a good idea to get a list of the specifications that are needed. Listed on this slide are questions to begin with before doing a design. These questions include: what kind of isolation strength is needed, is it basic or reinforced, does the engineer know what certifications are required; what is the working voltage, what levels are needed; is it stand-alone isolation or integrated, does the engineer need a digital isolator, a gate driver, or a data converter; are there any particular supply voltages the engineer is working with; how many channels of isolation does the engineer need and what directions; and what level of common mode transient immunity is required?
